Hello, my name is Tom Wit and I'll be your host for this evening.
My new (andverygay*cough*) friend from school, Solar (solargoth), convinced me to get an LJ (I've been meaning to start a blog for a long time, anyway), so yeah, I caved and got one.

So. Some stuff about the royal we.
I'm the lead singer and guitarist in a local metal band called Decapitated Shadow (or just DecapShad to our fans), which is currently running shop out of my basement. I play a black Gibson with a brushed steel pickguard. I never remember what kind of pickups I have (I just don't bother, because 99.9999% of people who I might possibly try to impress with this information would stare at me blankly as if I'd grown a second head)... but they're wicked awesome, whatever they are. I use Marshall amps, Fender medium picks, and Ernie Ball Super Slinky strings (in the highly metal hot pink package) exclusively.
The other members of my band are as follows:
Drums - Boulder (known by the weak as Duncan)
Rhythm guitar - Q (we're all Star Trek freaks, so sue us)
Electric bass - Kevin
Upright bass - Alex

In other breaking news, I live in a crappy little townhouse with my older brother Dan, who is twenty-four and has custody of me since our parents kicked the ol' bucket in a car wreck a few years back (I still have a pretty brutal scar on my right cheekbone from where my window shattered and spliced me twain). I have a Scottie dog named Bloodbath (if you knew him, it would make so much sense). I wear a really stupid retainer that makes me lisp. I love Metalocolypse with an intensity bordering on obsession. I am obsessive-compulsive and have ADD. I have a slipped disk in the middle of my back from thrashing too hard during a solo a while back. I've taken Latin all through high school, and don't intend to stop once I get into college (leave it to me to kill an already dead language).
Being around me is like being in a live TMI Zone (Too Much Information); I am blunt and ruthless and sometimes pretty-damn-close-to heartless. But take into account that this is coming from a guy who owns a very small dog and, because of orthodontia-wear, spits slightly when pronouncing certain consonants. You can't take me very seriously. Trust me on this one. *evil grin*
